This Diagram can go a long way in helping to explain to patients that pain is effected by muliple systems in our body as well as the environment we are in. I think it is very helpful to understand that Pain is a multi-system output produced by the brain when it percieves a threat and a need for action. Having this knowledge helps to approach patients in persistant pain with a new perspective.

Pain Neurophysiology Education Seminar
Here is my flyer for a pain neurophysiology class that I am offering to anyone who sufers from chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions. Research has shown that learning a better understanding of the pain alarm system can help you learn new ways to help yourself and take charge of your pain condition. I am offering these biweekly starting on April 9, 2009
